Hi...

I just purchased a 2001 A4 with the 1.8 and 5speed.

Working through some issues with it. The climate control buttons are sticking and this causes other buttons to no longer work on the control panel.

Is there a way to remove the panel and clean it or to replace the sticking buttons.

you can remove the whole unit but taking the plastic trim around the radio out, then take the ash try out and you should see some clips on the climate control. Use a screw driver and they will pop out and just unplug the climate control.

 

For my 99, i had to remove the radio with the removal keys. That plastic trim was held down by some screws behind the radio from what I remember. You can try the way above, it would be cheaper without the keys, but the keys are really inexpensive (even from the dealer).
