I can haz teh turboz?!
Yes, and they aren't intended to turn! My pops loves old muscle cars and had an old camaro bagged once, went great in a straight line, handled like a yacht in the twistys. I also bagged an 02 S-10, it didn't handle bad, but not track worthy either, of course it was a crappy truck.....
From the AirRide guys I talked to it handles better than factory! lol Still not Hotchkiss though... But Chris, bring it up my way. We'll bag it AND make it handle. You should know country boys kin do anything with cars.
I'm in the middle of a wash/clay bar/wax. I don't know if this car has ever seen a coat of wax in it's ~9 years on the planet
The paint feels fuzzy. I'm having to clay bar each panel 2 and 3 times to get them smooth. Good thing I bought more beer before I started lol

thanks man. Yeah I don't mind it too much now but I'm sure I will when it starts to cool off
Just finished waxing, came out pretty nice. The paint is actually in pretty good shape apart from a few stone chips here and there. One thing though, I debadged the rear hatch while I was out there, and its pretty apparent where the badges used to be. I can only assume many of you have run into this before, is there a good/easy way to even out the color of the paint and blend in the shadows from the badges?

just a quick question about your oil change. did you use your deep stick correctly?
as for the badges, i used goo gone then scratch x then rough rubbing compound then light rubbing compound, then polish and wax. for some reason all the cars the 4 cars around here including the passat never had your problem. but then again you have an avant and it's a nice cah

btw, I finally remembered to look a bit closer at the coolant expansion tank and it's ****** gross in there. looks like the coolant has never been changed. a new expansion tank and another coupla litres of G12 just made their way to the top of my list
I'll go out and take some pics to post in a little bit. I'm a little bit concerned to be honest, i hope they didn't mix regular coolant with G12
