Welcome!

What are you goals with an intake? Generally speaking the stock intake is just as good as anything else up to almost 300whp. They make reusable dry (or oiled) filters for the stock airbox as well.

IMO only reason to go with an aftermarket intake is appearance and/or sound. In some cases just throwing on a cone filter, which is what many aftermarket intakes consist of, may actually hurt performance, since they are susceptible to intaking hot air due to proximity to the turbocharger.

Do a search for the Carbonio intake. It's expensive ($300+) but is one of the few that won't hurt performance compared to a stock air box.

Personally I run the stock air box with a full heat shield, even with an upgraded turbocharger.

I have a high flow drop in and a billet diverter valve. That works just fine for me and I'm pushing 17+ psi.

IMHO, I agree with MetalMan. The stock piping is designed to be the best option for the car and the performance and reliability of the system back that claim up.

Like I said: A drop-in w/a diverter valve should be all you need.

Benefits: Cheapest, most effective and most efficient mod.

My pleasure.

The ECU "port button" might mean that your car has been tuned and that is some sort of "on/off" feature.

Here you go:

Black Recirculate Diverter Valve Turbo BOV Boost Bypass Fit VW Audi 1 8T 2 7T | eBay

The cheapest all Aluminum, anodized DV you'll find.

+1

I replaced my stock muffler with a normal sized Stainless muffler (not a grapefruit shooter) just for the looks. I kept everything in between stock (IE the cats and resonator).

It gives the car an updated, classier look, while adding power w/o adding (a noticeable amount of) noise.
