Intermediate shaft Seal Replace
Doing my timing belt and removed the intermediate shaft plate to replace the O ring and seal. Just curious if the cam, crank and intermediate is the same seal, because that is what RAI sent me. Also I pulled it out a few inches thought I would clean it, won't come out all the way, I lined up my keyway with one of the bolts before I pulled it out, then re-lined it when I pushed it back in, just wanna make sure I did'nt mess anything up , I read somewhere this shaft runs the oil pump, is there any way i could have broken something or not pushed it back in, just wanna make sure before I put it all back together.
OK in case this might help someone else, if you pull it out and push it back in it will not hurt anything, the guys at RAI told me the shaft has teeth at the back and will mesh back in, and all 3 seals are the same, but don't forget the intermediate has that extra O-ring on it.
