k04 upgrade
The reason why i had to replace the HOLE transmission harness is because of all the curosion in the tcu connecter, so i cut a wire going to the tcu to see how much there was and all i could see was green. So here are some pictures i forgot to put up from the first post.

Ok so i changed the crankcase breather tube and i put a cap of oil in each cylinder(under the spark plugs). why i did tht is because i told the dealership what my problem was and they said if i see gas on any spark plugs(cylinder 2,4 were dripping of gas) then i may have fludded my motor so to fix it they told me to do tht. so i did and with the breather tube on and cleaning off each spark plug and a cap of oil in each one i finally tryed to start it up today. Now it hessitated like before but IT STARTED and i got wat it did on tape. any help at all would be great.... i also tryed to start it up after it stalled out again and now its like before crank crank crank... i think its flooded again. How and why would it flud?

So i found this kid (neil maser)he has a sick 2004 s4. i was looking for someone tht had a vagcom to scan my car. well he scanned it and alot of codes came up i think 15. so he said the only ones tht were important were TB fault in basic settings, MIL control circuit open or short to plus. we also did the TBA before and after clearing codes. still no start. he was also confused y it didnt start up. so he suggested tht i put everything back to almost factory. so i took off the ssqv tht was right next to the TB and put in my hybrid dv on the hot side. i also put the air filter next to the MAF instead of close to the floor. i also put oil back in the cylinders becuase each spark plug visably had gas on them. so then i tryed to start it up and bam! it starts. i also took it around the block three times and its amazingly fast and has torque. its not even chipped. so first thing after christmas is chip and injectors and the project is complete. thanks for the help and sorry i right long posts i try to be thuro. heres a video of the first start up

Ive been driving it now for 2 weeks now and no CEL.i also have the ssqv on(i love tht sound). scanned it at autozone and it says TB sensor and cylinder 2,4 misfiring BUT it drives freakin awesome so i think i messed them up since i fluded the motor out a bunch of times so new sparks plugs tomorrow. The problem y it didnt start is stupid me i didnt plug the spot were the dv was becuase i used the factory pipe going from the turbo to intercooler. so i put a hole different pipe there. also got a TIP which looks good. sounds stupid but im thinking of getting the gtx2 cuz its like the k04but produces like 30-50 more hp and idk how much more tq but you can use the k04 program so ill look into it more in feb.
Its hard to say cuz theres so many sites out there and they all vary. For me i pieced it together from different places. Most of the parts i got from ecstuning very fast shipping. Like my kit was around 2200 i think. But theres some things u dont need but i got everything cuz i want my turbo to breath good and dont want nething to go rong. The problem with the kits (in my opion) is the only come with 4 parts n only get u 40-60 hp for 1250ish without shipping. It all depends were u go and the quality u get. Like everyone says chip ur car first thts the best bang for ur buck. I had to replace my turbo so i went k04. Plus i do all my own work, the diy links out there are amazing help and its fun learning experiance.
u might get more help in the s4 forums... all i heard of is they have tight engine bays and they have 2 turbos(da). also the factory turbos (k03s) is similar to the k04 just chip the car and ull get similar results as the k04(im probably wrong so please DONT quote me).ive read sooo much info out there tht people have different results, different kits. im sorry im not much help
I just got it chipped this morning and it deffently has better throttle response. Its an automatic with tiptronic so it feels almost the same driving thru town but wen u wanna pass someone its there for u and i pass them fast.. Its also louder in the exhaust and i hear the bov sooner around 2100 rpm. I live 1hr45min away from awetuning who did it for me, so on the way back i took advantage of the highway and got around anything in my way dam quick. Its well worth 300 without injectors. Ecu/Injectors cost 530 with tax. Id say its worth it. Im not gonna change this setup. Im gonna get a 5spd for my next project build it top to bottom and make it t3t4. Tht concludes this thread unless anyone has any ?s. Thanks for reading
