Default LCD for trip odometer... I fixed it???

So My little lcd which displays the trip/ mileage was not working now for the past 3 months it just went out, didn't fade or anything. I was working on my CD player getting it centered in the mounting bracket and broke a metal tab, freaked out and socked my steering wheel and the odometer works again... Now I'm just scared it will go out again lol, I have no clue stuff like that just makes me think what else has a loose connection.

There are a bunch of extremely small wires that connect to the lcd board. They end up fracturing or breaking at the solder point which causes the dreaded LCD missing pixels... My guess is one of your main wires providing power has become bad. The vibration of the smack on the steering wheel probably just put it into place so that it makes contact again... I would not expect it to stay that way forever, but enjoy it while it lasts!

I assume you meant, "It can make you feel better..."

Are you kidding me? I hug my car at least once a week.
If I call her a beater, I immediately apologize.
Punching her would be a bigger sin that hitting my wife!

Anyway, back on topic, glad to see the odo is working again, Dank... Now stop beating on your baby...haha
