Let me just put this here...
Figured the audiforums community might be interested. im not happy with the curve, as you can see its a bit late. but i already got used to it. already got plans for bigger and better.

turbo is 56 trim, .86 a/r turbine side, so it it might be a bit laggy compared to the lesser 2871r's, but it still too late. ill have to check the wastegate i suppose
Definitely. Off-boost volumetric efficiency will increase with higher compression (provided tuning is correct), and that will help you spool. I bet you'd cut lag quite a bit even at 9.0. It might cut down on the absolute amount of boost you could run, but with a higher CR you could make the same power at lower pressure. Essentially you'd make as much power, sooner, at lower boost, but with the tradeoff that your tuning would need to be precise, as a higher CR leaves less wiggle room for approximations in fueling or timing retard under boost.
Well of course I know lower compression will equal lower spool. I was just wondering if my compression ratio is low enough to affect spool that much or if I should bird-dog another issue. Anyone know of someone running 8.5 compression on a 2871r so I have a spool comparison?
