Default Let's talk about headlight upgrades..

Just moved into the country and even with my bright's on the road it's still hard to see..

What kind of upgrades are available? I don't want to be that douche that blinds everyone, but I can't see!

2000 1.8T ATW. New bulbs were put in a couple years ago, headlights are perfect and clear.

First thing to check is the aim. Regardless of how much light is produced, if it's pointed the wrong way, you still won't be able to see.

If you are serious about upgrading the lighting, myself and several others on this forum have upgraded to HID projectors. This will significantly increase the amount of light output. For hardware check out The Retrofit Source.

I use 55w 6000K direct replacement bulbs and my fog lights full time.

They're not as hyper-bright as a true HID setup, but it's the cheapest and easiest way to upgrade without modifying any circuitry, keeping everything stock.

My bulbs were less than $20 delivered (eBay). You can try that and if you still don't think they're bright enough, you can always put them in your high beams and get a true HID kit for your lows. That way - worst case scenario - you get to have both for cheap.

Just my opinion though. Some will disagree, but I've had/used both setups and I'm happy with what I have now.
