Default Looking to increase unlock range

I've heard I can move the remote to do this however I cant find the remote to move. I have a 2001 Audi A4 Quattro, I checked under the rear seat and in the C-Pillar however its no where to be found. Any ideas? Thanks.

You should be looking for a wire, not a module. It's in one of those two places or under the rear bumper near one of the rear wheelwells. On my 99 it was in the passenger C pillar - I attached extra wire and ran it across the top of the rear window, tucked up under the headliner.

^ What he said. Basically you'll be extending the wire to be more "exposed".

Pretty much just a black-sleeved wire around 16-18ga that's not connected to anything - it's just kinda hanging out with nothing hooked up.

you can also shoot it up your chin for another foot of range.. strangely enough, it really works, and was confirmed in Top Gear.

My '99.5 has it in the passenger rear fender liner, it was inside a rubber sleeve and went into the body through a grommet.

Mine was also sleeved in the pillar, just kind of hanging out in there. The loose end was a few inches from the top of the pillar.
