Whilst having a poke around the engine on my 1.8se (1999) APT engine today I noticed a wire with a two pin plug at the end dangling loose under the intake manifold. The pin is pink/purple in colour and has a retaining clip attached to it.

The wire seems to come from a two wire loom where one branches off to a connection on the sump or just above it (oil pressure/level??) Having looked high and low I cant seem to find anywhere that this second wire goes!! The pin has green/yellow and brown/white wires

The car drives fine and no warning lights are on, I've checked the expansion tank and around the fans etc but cant seem to pin point where it goes!

Any pointers please.....
