loud knocking.i

i will do tomorrow, i hope its something to do with the outer tie rod end so my mechanic can just fix it for free because it was his mistake.

your descriptions are vague at best. I'm assuming that the car does not make the "thumping" noise when parked and the engine is running correct?

If it's not the engine, it could be transmission, drivetrain, suspension.....you need to get the car to the point it is making this noise and start ruling things out. I don't think anyone can diagnose what is going on based on your current statements.

The car is running, the thumping only happens while driving. i will try and figure more out tomorrow.

I checked the oil before school today and the oil is just above the low on the dipstick, so i am going to go buy a quart of oil.

Loose bolt from the alignment

definitely a loose bolt. make sure it's not your wheel first. if it's the mechanic's mistake, i'd try to get something out of it.
