Hi,

I have a 1998 A4 1.8T (B5) that I need to get the headliner out of. My moon-roof will not slide open without help and once its open, seems to get hung up and won't close??? it will however tilt up and down without problems.

Does anybody know how to get the headliner out without damaging it to expose the moon-roof motor and tracks for either cleaningand lubricating? The previous owner of 10 years stated that he never slid it open, just used the tilt feature.

Open it all the way, even if you have to help it. Get out and look from the top, you will see the tracks. Clean & lube 'em.
