I love to use my moon roof on my 97 B5... but i was just wondering... is there a way to maintain the moon roof? in example lubricating the moon roof and such? I would hate to see if fail. Any help is appreciated thanks.

If I were you I would check to make sure the track is lubed up well every other week. If you google Audi A4 Sunroof Maintenance Grease (or a combination of that phrase) you'll find threads mentioning lubricating the track. You can get to it easiest if you pop the glass off.

i sprayed the tracks down with lithium grease when i first got the car 6 years ago, been fine since. haven't really touched it since them, just open and close it lol

 

I have had a very similar problem with my moon roof. Ever since I first got the car it would prop up just fine, open just fine, but I wouldn't be able to open it half way then try to close it without it stopping then going back. it also wouldn't close back up. Like it was getting stuck once it was all the way back. You think greasing it up would solve that problem as well?
