Default Is my clutch going bad?

Hey all, ill make this quick.

97 AEB A4 with 135k. 5spd.

The first 2 inches of pedal travel will engage the clutch. The second I press down I can feel the clutch working. Id say the final 80% of travel is useless.
No it isn't slipping when I put it in gear. It will actually pull pretty hard if i drop it, not that I would. Things to check out?

Yes, these cars tend to have a high clutch engagement point. If it isn't slipping and isn't making funny noises I wouldn't worry about it.

when you stomp it in 5th gear and the tach revs but the car doesn't change speed, that is the sign.
