Engine light came back on yesterday. Went off for a day. Went to auto zone the day it came on, came back as an ECT sensor. Car runs absolutely fine though. I've read the temp gauge will usually act up, and may have rough starting not experiencing that though. Only a $10 part so no big deal if I need to replace it. Giving it a few more days to see if it will go out on is own again.

Just make sure that if/when you replace the coolant temp sensor, to replace it with OEM (~$30). There have been a number of people who had faulty aftermarket ones straight out of the box.

Oh absolutely, I try to use OEM parts whenever I can.

I am going to try and unplug/plug it back in and clean it first because it did shut off on its own once already so it may not be seated right. May have hit it when I was doing my boost leak test last weekend, I was back in that area the most.

Today I installed the boost gauge to the steering column. Really like how it came. Does block most of the center display but that's alright. I'll take a picture when it light out tomorrow. Snaking the hose up to the steering column was real fun.

I got the one from ECS Tuning. Way overpriced I think (most of there stuff is) but it's the only one I could find that was specifically made for the B5 A4. Here's the link: Audi B5 S4 2.7T - B5SCP - Steering Column Mounted Gauge Pod - ES#2413

I haven't connected the light yet because I didn't have wire. Will probably do that sometime this week/weekend.

That was one I was looking at when I did mine....just thought the vent would be a little more interesting. I was wondering about your gauge what kind did you get. I was looking at all kinds and ended up just going with AWE

I went with a VDO one simply because it matches so well. It looks like something Audi made to be honest. Also got that from ECS. I like how the steering column mount keeps all the gauges in one spot.

Heres the gauge kit I went with, it was recommended by many here on the forums. So far so good. Audi B5 A4 Quattro 1.8T Search SiteSearch Boost Gauge - VD0BGKT - Boost Gauge Kit - 52mm - ES#4673
