Lol yeah I think that's what my color was called. The brakes are easy - dismount the caliper and carrier and the rotor comes off. Reassemble with the A8 rotor and TT carrier. There is a DIY in that subforum that covers it. You can buy it as a kit for $250 I think if you get blank rotors or $300 if you get drilled/slotted. You'll want new pads too. If you look around you may be able to piece it together a little cheaper yet but TT carriers aren't the most common parts to find in junkyards.

They make a noticeable difference. They're not StopTechs but it's definitely a difference you can feel. And for the price they're a no-brainer. I always thought Audi undersized the brakes on most of their cars. These are the brakes the car should've come with - they definitely let you brake later and harder, and take just a light touch of the pedal to scrub speed. As far as bang for the buck, they're the best functional mod I've done to my car.

It's very easy. Only thing I would add as a suggestion is to clean the hell out of the sliders (the ones you remove in order to pull the calipers off the carriers). Sand them to a shine, grease them with high-quality synthetic grease (I use some purple 2500 degree stuff - cost me about $18 at Advance and it's worth it), clean the bores in the calipers where the sliders go, using a round wire brush and blow it out with compressed air. You can use the purple grease on the back of the pads as well. Put it all back together and you're in business.
Lookin Good man! Honestly I wouldn't worry about the brake upgrade unless you constantly go high speeds or in situations (like track) where you need to stop really fast often. The theory that you need to upgrade your brakes when you add more performance is not based on any fact. The only time you need to add more braking power is if you added more weight to your vehicle or you are using it much more vigorously. If you drive normally most of the time with some "fun" then a brake upgrade is a waste of time and money IMO

Looks like its finally getting to that time where I have to replace the axles. The cv joints are now starting to click click click when I turn sometimes. The boots have been torn since I bought the car back at the beginning of the year, my mechanic said it was fine to leave when I bought it and he recommended just replacing the entire axle anyways when it became time.
