Need assistance with this car before I throw in the towel
This is a long story and I appologize beforehand. I was on my way home last night when my 01 A4 tip with 100k on it stalls out while I was sitting at a light. I restarted the car and get on the 5 making my 55mile journey home and about 5 miles later the car stalls out again and restarts itself and the EPC light comes on. I limped it to my mechanic and right when I pulled up it stalled out again and the check engine light came on. They scanned it today and I had the following codes - 16395, 16706, 16712, 16717, 17734, 17735, 17736, 18010. They replaced the speed sensor and re-checked everything and it was Ok. The only thing that I notice now is that the volts on the gauge are not at 14. they're not at 12, but i'd say 13. when I metered the car everything checks out ok with the alternator and battery. My question is this. Is there anything that I should be worried about? I just got back from deployment and have done everything preventative that I can think of, but after this mishap I'm seriously considering getting rid of my audi and getting a new car. The only mods to the car are my eclipse navi and 300/4 amp powering my boston z series speakers. Thanks in advance guys.

This past winter my alternator went out and after being replaced, my volt meter doesn't quite read 14v but somewhere just above 13v. Other than it not being exactly on 14v there have been no additional problems with the car related to this.
personally i would say 14.7 is optimal to be at but you need to meter your battery when the car is off. an alternator should read pretty close to 14.7 volts and if it doesnt something is wrong. thats why i say meter your battery with the is car on and off. dont trust the cars gauge. it could be wrong. and post any new codes. if there isnt new codes, things might not be that serious but you need to do more testing. although on seconf review maybe your amp is grouding out or somethin? more info would be great...
