Need Help Resetting Service Interval Indicator
Folks,
I haven't been able to reset my service interval (In2) indicator on the control panel for a while now. I've searched and followed any instrcutions i've found posted, but still no luck.

Most threads say to perform the following steps...
* Switch off ignition.
* Push and hold the right button (on instrument panel) while simultaneously switching ON the ignition; display will show the word "SERVICE" or "SERVICE OIL".
* Depending on the version, either push in or pull out the left button and hold until display clears (it'll show "---"). The next service interval or word "SERVICE ---" should be displayed.
* Push the right button again and repeat procedure for the next maintenance interval.
Does anyone have any instructions that work on a 1997 A4 without the optional trip computer? Thanks in advance...

Mine's a 2000, but all I do is hold the two buttons simultaneously with one hand and then turn the key to 'on' with the other hand. Once I see that the service interval is displayed on the screen, I let go and that's it. Hopefully that will work for you.
