Do you like your new audi?
A Qualified "YES"; 1999 Avant it's comfortable, handles okay, power is alright, but the main good thing is it's very useful for us.
How long have you owned it?
Couple years, but I usually don't drive it; it's my wife's.
Why did you decide to buy one?
Son was in law school and need transportation; He bought it with supporting parental funds; he thought it was the best deal at the time; $6K for an Avant with 65K miles, but with salvage title; it was in a wreck but completely repaired (kind of). He gave us the car after he graduated.
Was there another vehicle you were thinking about before you bought the audi?
I'm a Bimmer fan, my son used to have a really nice 528e that would have suited him well. Not sure why he chose the Audi; at the time he thought it was a great deal.

I am going to pick up 1996 A4 Cabriolet 2.8 on Wed., It has 90,000 on it and the color is Magnolia Pearl, with blue leather interior with a blue convertible top. This one looks to be in amazing condition. I will give it a good shake down to find out where things stand on it. I know the water pump was dealer replaced 5 years ago.
Glad to be here.
Glad to be here.
I bought my A4 brand new on Saturday, August 28, 1999. It now has 92,000 miles on it.

I love my A4, even though it is starting to give me some old car problems. This is odd because the car is in excellent condition...it looks new on the inside and still drives like a dream. The ABS control module died in November 2010. And, my most recent worry, it seems to be using up a lot of oil. No leaks on the garage floor. I wonder if this could have anything to do with the reformulation of engine lubricants and the lack of ZDDP in the engine oil.

Hi Guys.
Do you like your new audi? I love the way it drives. Very nimble and very comfortable.
How long have you owned it? Less than a week
Why did you decide to buy one? A co worker was selling it cheap because it has an engine problem and my Jeep only gets 13mpg.
Was there another vehicle you were thinking about before you bought the audi? Toyota Corolla
1998 A4 2.8L 30v 5spd. Totally stock

2000 Jeep Cherokee 4.0 AW4. A lot.

hello! i am from Romania and due to the economical chrisis in my country i had to sell my 2007 JETTA 1.9 tdi and i bought myself an 2000 A4 B5 1.9 tdi (ajm 85 kw). i must say am very nice impressed by this car while i compare it to my ex JETTA. i really think audi (even this old audi) is far better built than VW. here are some pictures of my car !

Do you like your new audi? Yes, the handling is great with a good mix of performance and its comfortable to drive. The color has grown on me too (Volcano Black)
How long have you owned it? 2 weeks
Why did you decide to buy one? I needed a new car and got a really good deal from family friend, the car has minor problems like it needs a abs module and wheel bearings but overall a great ride
Was there another vehicle you were thinking about before you bought the audi?, mk4 jetta 1.8t or vr6, mazda 3 sedan, saab 93

oh yeah. having lots of fun with it, appreciating the mpg, the cornering, the smooth ride and that it's got a little pep to it.
How long have you owned it?
about a month
Why did you decide to buy one?
got sick of driving gas hog SUVs on a daily basis, so i bought an older jeep for a toy/ utility vehicle for hunting and camping, and a small, AWD car for daily commute.

looked at all the awd german ones- bmw, mercedes, vw, and audi. also looked at jeep compass, jaguar x-type, infinity. the only 2wd car i looked at was a mini s. it honostly came down to a choice between the mini, bmw and audi. audi won out when i stopped to look at one at a dealership, and the salesman handed me the service record (5 pages long) then sat me down with the owners manual and showed that every recommended service had been done, and everything done at that dealership. he also claimed that the ecu had already been flashed for an extra 20hp (haven't figured out how to verify that yet).
