Well, this isn't my first Audi. I have a 85' Audi 4000s with full receipts and am second owner of that car. I love it!

I just purchased an 96' Audi A4 2.8 Quattro for 3800 and it's in very good shape. Only bad thing is the high miles but it purrs and has had been serviced and maintained properly so it doesn't scare me. I bought it for my wife and she loved the way it looked so we checked it out and everything works great! A/C is a dream in a place such as Tucson.

Was browsing through craigslist, so everything was an option.

Do you like your new audi?
I liked all 15 miles that I drove in it prior to the ignition cylinder locking up and self destructing

How long have you owned it?
less than 1 day

Why did you decide to buy one?
I was looking for a fun wagon and had trouble tracking down a V70R in good shape.

Was there another vehicle you were thinking about before you bought the audi?
Volvo V70R.

It's decent and have AWD and was cheap, nuf said! It's a 97 A4 2.8Q in Pearl White with Grey Leather

How long have you owned it?

About 2 weeks.

Why did you decide to buy one?

It was on craigslist for $800 w/ the 2.8L V6 and AWD and 120k miles because it was making noise that turned out to be a jackwagen installed the last spark plugs and didn't tighten them well. One was popped out; the thread on the plug and the hole looked mint, so I just did a tune up while I was there; new plugs, wires and air filter. I get the feeling the former owner's mechanic was an idiot.

I have an e38 BMW 740i that I was thinking of replacing with an e38 BMW 750iL for winter duty. In the summer the Audi will sit while I drive my summer cars and bikes.

I love it.
I've had it almost five months now.
My older brother has a 1.8T, and I think it's a great looking car that's fairly affordable.
Considered a wrangler, but I like going fast too much.

There's plenty of info here for that. Start off with a chip tune and DV; it's all in the newbie guide a few threads down from this one.

1) Yes, even with its mushy stock suspension and mediocre powerband (car is completely bone stock) I'm finding it's great fun to drive.

2) 3 days.

3) My last two cars were AWD, Mitsu Evo then Subaru Impreza. I wanted a car with a plushy ride but still a bit of oomph and AWD. What else besides an Audi?

4) Maybe a 4x4 pickup truck? I was kind of thinking about a VW GTI.
