I love my B5 A4 1.8T.
Ive owned the car since Nov but just drove it today.
I want to make my car faster than many EVOs and STIs around the street.Wanted an AWD and JDM was out of the question. And I could not afford a MK4 R32. I was looking into the MK4 R32 before I decided to buy my B5.

Do you like your new audi?

When it's running I LOVE IT

How long have you owned it?

6 months

Why did you decide to buy one?

Traded my 94 Integra GSR for an 01 Quattro who could turn that down lol.

Was there another vehicle you were thinking about before you bought the Audi?

N/A

Do you like your new audi? Yes, very much!

How long have you owned it? Two whole days! I have, however, known the car since new - 1998. I bought it from a friend who cared for it with great affection.

Why did you decide to buy one? I have driven a 2001 BMW Z3 roadster for the past four winters and decided to add a more practical (yet still fun) car to the fleet (which also contains my wife's 2010 Mini Cooper S).

Was there another vehicle you were thinking about before you bought the audi? I also shopped older BMW sedans and VWs because I was looking for something that would be suitable to drive in Ohio winters. The one requirement that limited my search was the desire for a manual transmission; and, as demonstrated by my list name, I'm fond of German cars!

Very much. Could do w/o the CEL, but...

How long have you owned it?
Not quite a month now.

Why did you decide to buy one?
Mostly for the quattro. Used to own a '99 A6 Avant, which my wife really liked. Broke her heart when we had to sell it and bought a Dodge Caravan.

I was pretty open to anything, although I was learning towards either an Audi or Subaru. Almost bought a Mercedes S320, but it was just too big. Also looked at a Subaru Impreza wagon owned by a Subaru mechanic who had upgraded the engine and suspension to STI specs, but it had 225K miles on it and was looking pretty beat.

I'm pretty happy with the A4, though. It has the Celebration and cold weather packages. Interior and exterior are pretty clean, the information display looks like new, everything appears to work (haven't tried the cassette player) and the performance is pretty good. On the down side, the CEL light came on recently and there's a definite oil smell (I'm guessing a valve cover gasket, but I haven't really done more than look under the hood). Oh, and it's got some odd-wad tires on it, probably some house brand. They're in good shape, though, so I'll probably leave them on until I can afford some new 17" rims. And some HIDs. Oh, and the suspension's a little mushy, it'll probably need some coilovers too. With lowering springs. And a chip, of course. And....
