1. Yah I like it so far, need to get my MFS in so I can drive it on the hwy (no 5th right now and in safe mode)

2. ive owned it for a little over a month now, bought it for 1800 bucks with about 4k in recipts done within the past 2 years. Bought it off my supervisor so I know it was taken care of

3. I bought it because I had a really bad accident in front of my house, kids were street racing down my road (30mph speed limit mind you) and hit a pole, then hit eachother and then slide across my front lawn and right into my truck , totaling it instantly.

4. This was the only vehicle I was thinking about getting, knowing its history (new timing belt, along with a sh t load of other things)

Dont plan on doing a lot of work right now (coilovers and 99.5 facelift with HID kit and LED tails , tint)

hi I am new to the Audi Forums
I'm not sure where I would post this question but since I may be a new A4 owner I figured I could give it a shot here..

I am looking to buy an audi and so far i have found one i am really interested in, its a 2001 Audi A4 1.8T Quattro. I am new to the Make of Audi..or any car in general, this is my first car. The guy is asking $5,000 and it has 196,000 miles. What should I look for? is that to high of miles? how long do audi's go for? has anyone had any problems with an audi that had high miles?

Heres the thing about Audi/VW 1.8T they have a slugging problem when u don't run the right oil cuse the oil system is small and doesnt cool very well. They plow offer a big oil filter for it and only get the oil fitter from Audi or VW dealerships and run Castrol syntec 5w-40. So make sure he has done the proper oil changes on it and is running the right oil. I my self have a 98 A4 Quattro 1.8T and love and Aldo is it a manual or auto
