The vacuum hose goes to the accumulator in the left front fender. It's a blue plastic bottle that is shaped a bit like 3 *****. With that vacuum hose going nowhere, you have a big vacuum leak.

Not sure on the wires down front, but given that location I would guess they go to the ambient air temperature sensor. It's supposed to sit down low at the bottom of the AC condenser on a plastic bracket. If your instrument cluster tells you the wrong temp, that's another reason to believe those wires go to that missing sensor.

yeah I just got done pulling the front end apart and found where the vac line runs now just to get one....
I didnt find anything with wires ripped off and my out temp seems pretty close to right but who knows exactly.
I found a crack in my plastic thermostat housing, I think I can change it without pulling my t-belt, it was done not long before I got the car and they did the water pump with the t-belt. Do you know if it is feasible to yank that housing without pulling the t-belt( or acc pully on crank)

There are guys here who have done that. I tried it once and just ended up scarring the surface that presses against the gasket.

I believe the metal and plastic ones are interchangeable. My 99.5 has the metal one, don't know about the others.
