So basically. I should get the 6's now. Since im still running stock boost. After i get my A/F gauge and do the diode mod, i should run 7's? Im definately going to get an A/F gauge b4 i do that though. Ive read some bad stories about people pushing 16,17, and 18 pounds of boost and running VERY lean. Its better to buy an inexpensive gauge then to buy an engine right... O yeah and wtf. i Just did a custom mount autometer boost gauge in my vent, and now its started making an annoying tinging sound at low rpms. The needle on the gauge flutters. Kinda annoying. But i guess i cant do anything about it.

Skip the A/F gauge if you're serious about your mixtures. They're not exact enough to really tell you anything. Invest in a good EGT gauge if you really want to know what's happening in your cylinders. An A/F gauge driven by a wide-band (five wire) precision O2 sensor would work well (it's one tool that dyno tuners use), but it's expensive (several hundred from what I remember) and cumbersome. The EGT would be a far better ally in keeping tabs on your combustion.

i'v always used 7's and they run great, but i am running higher boost befor when i was running stock 6's worked great never had a problem. My friend has a vw gti just got the polester plugs and they should be in sometime tomarow ill be sure to post how they do when he installs them. but in my opinion you cant beat NGK's price! haha

Yeah i was looking for A/F gauges today. I found one, i cant remember who it was from, but it came with the 5 wire wideband 02 and another sensor to go into the exhaust. It was about $290. I thought that wasnt bad for everything it comes with. But thats a little further down the road. I need to keep saving. The car just went into the shop today. I was doin 80 down the highway and it started veering from side to side by itself. Hopefully its just a control arm...

On these cars, directional instability like that can also be a sign of worn inner CV joints on the front axles - take a look there too.
