so i have a bone stock 2000 a4 1.8TQA. runns good but i have no high beams whats so ever, and on many nights the factory lights suck and the foglights make driving a bit safer. the fuses in the fuse box are good for the high beams as are the bulbs. is there a relay or something that could be bad.

 

There are no relays for the headlights on these cars. If the bulbs are ok it's probably a bad combination switch.

 

agreed, I would go with combo switch. You can check for power and ground at the bulbs to be sure as well.
