Default Noisy Lifter?

My oil pressure light came on randomly for a few seconds and shut off. A couple of days later it did the same thing. I was a half a quart low and in need of an oil change anyway. So I added seafoam to the oil, ran it for a day, and changed my oil. It has been over a week since then. The oil pressure light has not come back on. However, now I have what sounds like a noisy lifter. The sound only happens if the engine goes above 2500 RPM and then disappears if the engine goes above 4000 RPM. If I'm in the 2500-4000 RPM range and let off the gas, the noise disappears even though the engine is still above 2500 RPM. Any ideas?

If the noise goes away when you let off the gas, then probably not a valve train noise. That it seems related to load seems odd, since any looseness, say wrist pin, tends to click when the piston is unloaded. How about in neutral, can you rev the engine while leaning over it to hear the noise?

Sorry, I should have mentioned that the noise came and went like that while I was in neutral sitting in my driveway. I haven't tried to locate the noise with the hood up yet. I did run the car a little in first gear to see what it did. It is difficult to hear the noise sometimes over the sound of the engine in general, wind, road noise, etc. It seems to do the same thing as in neutral but it seems to be a little more difficult to get the noise to happen. It starts making the noise at about 3000 RPM and I'm not sure if or when it disappears. I didn't run it over 4000 RPM. However, I did notice that if the engine is making the noise if I let off the gas it stops and if I let off the gas just enough to maintain the RPM I am at, the noise stops as well.
