Try a little compound?

I would be very careful with rubbing compound. It isn't really designed for use with clear coats.

Yeah I'm pretty wary of using compound. Any other lighter ideas to try first?

ok so i went to the dealer ship yesterday and we found the part number but the problem if then there are none in the U.S. there are only two front rubber feet and no rears the one i need so i was wondering if you guy that have oem racks think one of the fronts would fit on the left rear because if not the rear would have to come out of Germany and would take anywhere from 3weeks to a month

Ok so i am trying to cut down A6 factory roof racks to use on my A4 B5. Can someone provide the length dimensions of the silver factory cross bars from point to point? The ends are angled so top dimensions and bottom dimension would be great! i remember seeing a DIY post about modifying the factory bars exactly like i am trying to do but cant find it for the life of me.
