On my 2000 the oil sensor at the oil/coolant exchanger was in fact a pressure sensor. Thats where I installed my aftermarket oil pressure sender for my Autometer gauge.

Are you sure the spot you are trying to use is an actually hole into the oil system or could it just be a threaded hole that goes no where?

If you take the oil cap off and see oil being pumped up to the cams then you in fact have oil pressure and the sensor location is not actually part of the oil system.

yup I found it last night. The oil pressure sensor is on the back (fire wall side) of the filter housing. The oil temp is on the right side of the housing. What kind of oil temp sensor is that. Its not even reading oil temp, more so the filter housing temp. I was wondering way it never passes 200. Normal operating temp is 200-210, for maxamem oil protection.

Whats normal PSI, I have 50 psi at idle and 85-90 psi @ 2k rpm in neutral. 90 psi seems kinda high.

Yeah thats where they put it on the earlier cars, later on they put the oil temp sensor at the bottom of the pan.

Normal oil temps are going to be under 200 unless the car is being ran hard.

Normal oil pressure is around 25psi at idle and up to 90-100psi up in the higher rpms, those are temps for when the oil is at temp. Cold oil is going to be a bit higher when you first start the car, up around 50-75psi right after you start the car.
