I have a 99A4 2.8 auto, ever since I purchased the car the oil temp needle hasn't moved from 150 degrees. Is it the temp sender (already purchased, not inst.) the gauge itself, or a relay? I am going to change the temp sender and see if that fixes the problem and was wondering if anyone has changed this before on their A4? How easy/hard this is? I am pretty mechanical having worked on airplanes for the last 7 years. Thanks for the help.

 

Mine does the same thing. I worked on f-16s for four years. I miss it......

 

mine does the same thing too, but my gauge will zero itself out when you turn the car off like all the other gauges, but as soon as you turn the car on it goes to 200 right away even though the car is cold.....and i have worked on C-17s for 6 years, still enjoy it
