Default OK to run without Air Bag Module

Before I pop out the air bag module to send it for reconditioning, does anyone know if car is useable without it. Disclaimers given for those ligitigation weary.
It is a 2001 2.8 A4 quattro.
Cheers

It should drive fine - I don't think the B5 was advanced enough to start having driving systems interrupted by the lack of an airbag controller.

I agree with ImTheDevil. You'll definitely see an AIRBAG light on the dash, and (obviously) your air bags won't deploy in the event of a collision, but otherwise it will be fine.
