Is is okay to use non-synthetic gear lube in 2001 B5 1.8T?
I've been searching all over, but I can't find an answer.....nor can I find synthetic fluid locally.
Would it be okay to use regular (non-synthetic) Valvoline High Performance GL-4 80w90 in my 2001 5 speed B5 A4 1.8T?

Bentley calls out for syn. You get it online several places and UPS will bring it right to your door. I don't know why you'd take a chance because it's not in town.
