Default One License plate light not working

One of the two license plate lights on my 98 Audi a4 isn't working, I have replaced the bulb and it still doesn't work, it looks like the bulb is making a good connection. Anybody??

It's either the contact tongs on the bulb mounts, corrosion in the housing mounts, or rotted wire contacts on the backside of the bulb housings, which is what happened to mine. Chances are you'll need to replace them.

You can convert it to prevent this problem or you can always just replace. It's a pretty common problem for our cars.

I have this problem as well, except both mine are out, I've replaced both housings, worked for a while and then it just stopped working all together. I checked the fuse and it was blown replaced the fuse, blew another, then another, and another. At this point i've just decided to go without until I get pulled one and told I am required to fix it. Any other advice would be lovely.

I really would rather not mod the lights as I couldn't care less if they're led or not, but I just noticed ecstuning doesn't have my year for the lights, so is there a way to fix the lights or can somebody give me a link to where I can buy a new assembly?
