Default overheating problem??

Hi guys i have an 96 a4 1.8t with k04 and custom headers and 600x300 frount mount intercooler. recently did the conversion. It was running fine for about 3 weeks and suddenly 1 day on my way to work the temp gauge shot right up. I was in traffic so i had no choice but to stay were i was and i noticed that when i started driving it would heat up and when i came to a halt and the engine was just idling the temp would go down back to normal 1/2 way were it usually sits but only at idle as soon i start driving it starts heating up. so i took it to the dealers and they replaced a temp sensor fan switch and radiator, apparently the radiator was blocked. and i removed the thrmostat.but its still overheating after all that work. i compared it with my brothers a4 and noticed that when i rev the eninge it squirts coolant into the bottle which mine doesnt so i was thinking waterpump but the dealer seems to think thats not the problem. Oh and the bottom radiator hose is cold after a drive. I appreciate any help i can get as i dont no what to do next. thnks guys
grant
