Question Parking Brake Question

I'm having an issue removing the parking brake cable from the bracket on the caliper. Is there some trick to getting the cable out or should it be as easy as sliding it out?

Its the rear passenger side, quattro.

A little trick I used was to compress it (by hand, or pull up the e-brake) then use a zip tie to hold the bracket in place. Release tension off the cable, and work it out. It's still a little tricky, but it worked for me.

My cable was broke so couldnt do that. C-clamp is what I used.

Thanks everybody. All done. I ended up just doing all 4 calipers, rotors, pads and did the wheel bearings while I was at it. Drives like brand new ^^

Glad to hear it all worked out. Damn I can't wait to get some wrench time in! I got an inch that needs to be scratched! (Or is it a scratch that needs to be itched?)
