You asked what else could be done and that is the answer. It's not cheap, you're right.

The best part (and really, the only part that matters) is that you're enjoying it. Regardless of the reasons you're walking other cars, if you're doing it and liking it then it's hard to gripe. Our point in our posts was to demostrate the realities of trying to power-tune a 2.8 Audi V6. Despite results that different people have on the street, physics is physics and the power gains (or lack thereof) have been proven out time and again - unless you force-induct the engine or spray it, it's just not going to gain much power at all. It doesn't mean that mods aren't worth it - hell, the main reason I put a cone filter on my 2.8 is because I won't ever have to buy an air filter again. If it frees up a couple horses and sounds more aggressive, so much the better. I'm just not going to mess around with the usual bolt-on hardware with this engine - it doesn't respond the way many other cars do. With the 2.8, you're going to gain far more bang for your buck with handling and braking mods. You won't outrun a lot of cars in a straight line, but it's a fairly agile car and with thought-out suspension mods (larger swaybars, more performance-oriented tires and wheels, and lowering of the center of gravity, plus better brakes to allow you to carry speed longer before having to hit the binders), you may be surprised at the gains you can make on other cars. I won't outrun a 265-hp Maxima in a straight line, but I bet I can outhandle one If you're modding to out-perform other cars in a 2.8 A4, pick your mods and your races wisely, and you should come out ahead.

man with all those mods, you sure you won't blow your intake welds? onepoint8tee, this is when that thing i sent you maybe would have came in a bit handy lol.
christian a4: it's sweet that you're only 16 and have an a4. i know how 16 yr olds feel about going fast and everything but try not to crash your car. with those mods you have, you're probably pulling ~200chp. you're throttle response is a bit better though. if you're walking all these cars, the other driver's must really suck at driving because you only put down about 150 at the wheels. and with the heavy chassis and engine, you're power to weight ratio sucks giant elephant *****. if you want power and handling with minimal amount of money spent, an a4 is not for you. however, you can walk just about any car in the snow

P.S. and don't street race. That's how you get in trouble and can't drive until you're 21 or much, much worse.
Enjoy the Audi!
