power outlet missing

neither, the socket itself is missing. The onlything there is a hole right next to the ashtray. The socket I'm talking about is the rear one (2001 A4 Quattro 2.8L)

o0o, ok. It looked kinda weird because there is even a picture of a battery on the ashtray compartment cover. Would still be nice to put that hole to use though. It's kinda ugly to have an empty hole in the middle of nowhere.

Thats how its supposed to be and the pic he was talking about above you was probably the check engine symbol (i think thats it at least) You can just throw a generic cigarette lighter outlet in there and wire it off the front one but I don't think they made a cover for them or anything like that.
