Question problem removing the radio?

I just got the tools to remove the radio in the mail today. The only problem is that the clip on the top-left corner seems to be broken. I can get the tool in with some trouble, but it doesn't do anything.
I tried to follow the instructions on:
http://www.audiworld.com/tech/elec55.shtml
http://forums.audiworld.com/showthread.php?t=2747733

specially the one pry method by "nimmote", but I can't see any screws or anything. One of the keys is stuck on the radio and I don't want to be driving my car like that.
Anyways, I'm not too worried about the radio, but more about two buttons of the HAVAC that are stuck making it blow hot air all the time (so I had to remove the fuse. I need to fix it soon).
Any help and pictures will be appreciated.
Thanks in advance!

The tabs break off sometimes, you will have to yank out the key as hard as you can. Hopefully the tab bends with it and you should be able to pull the radio out without even using that key. If you don't care about the radio then you will have to be a little rough to get it out.

Question break it and get a new one?

What tabs are the ones that break?
I yanked out the key as hard as I could and I got it out, but the radio didn't come out.
I say that I don't care much about the radio because I don't even know if it works and it's not in the best condition (if it works I wouldn't mind keeping it, but I don't have the code anyways).

Should I just pull the whole radio even if it brakes?

Red face

Well, I had to take my car to a mechanic and he had to remove the radio so I didn't have to do anything. The problem was a fuse, but I still need to get the Code. The guy told me to call Audi/VW directly and that they might charge me like $10 or something... so that's good news.
Thanks for your help!
