call a local tire shop and see if they know of any places that work on rims in that regard. they probably have a place already where they send rims to get fixed.
when i got a tire recently from a shop in my town, one of the dudes working there commented on my curb rashed rim and told me of this place where they send customers wheels to get resurfaced and ****. he then told me he used to have a 1998 A4 1.8T, in which he blew the motor..... and he said all this crap about his upgraded turbo... i asked him what kind of turbo he put in, he replied with "k&n"
i ran to my car screaming and locked the doors...and drove away.........screaming....

you can always DIY, it's not too difficult but definitely rewarding:

Here are a couple links I found for curb rash removal. Same technique in both articles, but different wheels. It's really surprising how well this removes curb rash.

Look up a company called Quicksilver - they have a place in Glens Falls NY and may have other locations. The other one that comes to mind is www.fixrim.com - I've heard a lot of good press about them over the years.
