i know alot of people say go with porsche or big brake a8... but i was at the junkyard yesterday and they had a 944 there an i asked the guy how much for the rotors and he said 20 per pair... is that worth it? or will 944 rotors not give me much of an upgrade? should i go back and look for an a8?

 

If the rotors are the same size they probably won't do much for you. Do you know if a Porsche that old even shares the bolt pattern and spacing with an A4? Also, if the rotors are bigger, they won't fit under the stock carriers, so you'll have to get (or make) larger carriers for the calipers. With the price of the A8 kit, especially compared to the possibility of fabrication of new carriers, I'd stick with the A8 kit. A lot of us can vouch for its effectiveness - it rocks.

 

rotors are only part of the package. you can not just put porche rotors on your car and drive off. the same way you can buy a bottle of nitrous pretty cheap, but having it roll around in your front seat not connected to anything doesnt give you more hp.

junkyard rotors are pretty much worth their weight in scrap metal, which is about $20/pair.
