Default Quick Wheel Bearing Question

Hello,
I tried searching the forums but couldn't find an answer. I just finished pulling the wheel bearings out of the knuckles and shafts. Should I put some kind of grease or lube on the ID and OD surface of the bearing before I press it in? I found one VW DIY which says to do it, but I haven't found any other how to's which mention using anything when pressing them in. If so, what kind?

Thanks,
Brooks

I would go ask my mechanic if I were you. That way if he/she is wrong, you know who to beat the f**k out of it breaks.

I myself use the anti seize compound made by Permatex. If it ever has to come apart again you know its not going to be gaulded or rusted together.

Good Luck...

Oh so it won't end up taking me forever to pound them out next time? That would be a welcomed change. Thanks for the help.
