Does anyone know if there is a real difference between the automatic and manual rear driveshafts? This is for a 1998 A4 Quattro Avant Automatic. One is part number 8D0 521 101G while the other is 8D0 521 101H The only difference being that last letter. I'm wondering if they are exactly the same, and that maybe they give them different last "letters" to keep track of how many go into automatics and how many go into manuals. Any suggestions? I'm asking because I can find a used manual driveshaft in my price range, but I want to know if it will bolt on exactly as the automatic.
