Rear brakes question

Default Rear brakes question

i Have a 2.8Q and am needing to replace the rear brake pads and i am wondering which kind to buy. buck up and buy a nice set or the cheap ones? suggestions please...

Unless it's a track car, buy middle of the road pads. It makes the most sense - the rear brakes only do a small amount of the braking anyhow (maybe 30%), so you don't need high-performance pads. At the same time, it would go against everything I stand for to tell you to buy the cheapo stuff. Ergo, middle of the road is probably fine. If you're going to spend some money on brakes, it's better spent up front since that's where the majority of the braking work is done.

ok well i live in wisconsin so should i go ceramic or semi-metallic. or just the difference...

semi is good enough, ceramic will harder and will chew up your rotors faster but has less dust. you hardly use the rears anyways so that's why semi is good enough
