Default Rear caliper shot?

The last two mornings I've seen a puddle of oily stuff on the floor right under my left rear suspension. Only one type of oil back there, and sure enough, this is what the E-brake lever looks like there.

Is this calper just shot or is there a seal I can replace?

That seal is usually not buyable for our cars. It is a giant rubber mushroom seal deal behind it. You are most definetly looking at buying a new caliper. Rock auto has this though for it, I think this might include that big seal deal you need, DORMAN Part # D351808 Also rock auto has some good prices on rebuilt calipers. I bought an S4 rear caliper from there, no issues at all, about 50$ after caliper exchange. Good luck.

Yea I shop Rock a lot too. I can get a ramanned locally for about $10 more than Rock. Since I wouldn't have to ship a core back, I think I'll pay the $10 more here locally. Thanks.

$80 for a remanned caliper + 1 1/2 hours = solved.

Bentley tells you to pre-bleed the new caliper by pushing DOT4 through it. They don't tell you how to keep the preloaded DOT4 in the caliper when you turn it upside down to screw on the brake line.
