This thread has gotten so awkward, it's like Dad just hit Mom at the dinner table.

Phil, Autozone shows inner and outer for my car aswell, what these parts (7.99 each, ish?) are, are only partial bearing, for rebuilding your existing.

Unfortunately you can't rebuild the existing bearing in these cars, as when you remove the inner/outer assemblies from the existing bearing, you'll find that the reason the bearing failed was because the Outer Race (Not sold separately) has been damaged.

So, just have them order the standard full bearing. The inner/outer confused people, they think theres two bearings, however it really is just one...but the inner/outer are "parts" to that one bearing =)

Cheers.

I'll try and find out for you, friend has a FWD A4 that lives near. I know it'll probably be too late once I get the info, but i'll head over to his house now, he lives a few minutes away.

LMFAO - very well-phrased Just to throw in a tidbit which may or may not be listed in the DIYs, don't try to pull out a pressed-in wheelspeed sensor - you'll likely destroy it. Either wait until the spindle is off and you can see the face of the sensor, and put a 6" extension against it and tap it out with a hammer, or just leave it on the spindle. Pop off the rear seat cushion, unplug the sensors, and feed the wires down through the bodywork. The sensors won't be in the way while pressing a bearing.

well the wheel bearings are actually inside the rotor if that makes sense haha... there is an inner and outter just like they say.. the bolt was a 24mm hex head... i would have thrown together a crude DIY but i didnt have any gloves and cleaning my hands off every 5 minutes to take a crappy pic with my cell phone woulda been redundant lol... anyways... i could only take out the otter bearing... i replaced that... the heavy loud noise went away... but there is still a faint noise... so im guessing the outter got so bad it started messing up the inner... anyways cars put back together now.. thats my story, the end

glad to hear you took care of it man, and it sounds like it was a pretty quick fix, which is always nice.
