Hey guys, my friend with a 96 2.8 recently received a notice in the mail from AUDI that offered to replace his ignition switch free of charge due to a recall. Does anyone know if the recall is for a 99 2.8 as well? My current address may not be updated with audi.

 

the recall was for all cars, just call the dealer and ask for any open recalls on your car, i still get a about 2-3 recal notices a year for my old audi. i should really update my info too.

 

Hmm.. I didnt get one yet. Any way to post a scan of it?

Well no recalls currently available for my 99...but you guys with the 96 should definitley check that out.

Not sure what the first guy was talking about saying the recall was for all cars, but I updated my contact information...if you plan on doing the same, incase there are any future recalls, here is the number for Audi Headq.
