Red Antifreeze

The problem with switching to green is you have to change the stuff every two years to keep up its protection which costs in time and money. As I understand it Audi says the red is permanent. And mix with distilled water so you don't add any unwanted minerals with the tap water. B.

So...slight update on the coolent change. Heres the deal.
1. Unscrewed Engine Compartment Refill Cap.
2. Unscrewed Gray/Black Coolent Spicket from Drivers Side
3. RED fluid started flowing out
4. Cleaned mess
5. Only got about a 1 and 1/10th of a gallon out of the Spicket
6. Mixed Audi dealers Pink G12 coolent 50/50 mix and poured in a gallon.
7. Capped it up, first drive, ok.
8 Second Drive, coolent went below min mark and got a warning light.
9. Spicket was tight.
10. Topped off and now im ok.
What happened? Was i saposed to be running the car as i filled up the coolent?
And another thing. The spicket at the bottom only gave me about a gallon and a little bit, but yet i poured at LEAST a gallon and a half in on the refill. Did i do something wrong?

You have to open the drain plug on the coolant pump also (and on non-AEB engines maybe a few other places if you tell me your engine code i can find out). This will drain quite a bit more out. The reason the level dropped is there was air in the system and then when you ran the car the air came out of the lines.
