The sticker in the spare tire well has your cars option and paint codes on it. Very much doubt your radio code will be in any of those places if its not in the owner's manual. Putting it on the radio would be counter productive, because the whole point of the code is to prevent someone from using the radio after they steal it out of your car. Best bet would be to just call up a dealer or take your car over there and give them your VIN. They'll be able to give you the radio code.

you can pay someone to do it or find a really friendly person to do it, this is a dealer problem. I have heard of it being in the spare tire. but when **** happens upgrade!

Its not that its a difficult process, its just that releasing that information to the public would defeat the purpose of having the radios locked in the first place. All you have to do is take the car to and Audi dealer, and they'll take down the VIN and look it up for you

ive just heard that dealers usually ask for a ridiculous amount of money, thats why i would want to try finding the code myself instead of taking it to the dealer

They do get up to an hour's labor. It's a little crazy really but that's how it is. They need the VIN and the serial number of the radio and they can get it for you.

Cool

i remember reading a thread somewhere/someplace where a guy was in the same situation. Radio, didn't want to pay (i believe like $80 ) for a code. Dont remember if he googled the number or found it in his owners manual, but there was a number he called and got one for free. Didnt save the post location, sorry.

You'll need the serial number from the back of the radio and your VIN number. Try calling Audi of America and they may help you for free.
