Remote 2000 Audi A4
im pretty sure the 2000s dont have chips. i know mine doesn't. the service director taught me how to do it if i can remember correctly you put your valet key in the ignition and turn it to the on position. then you close the door and you manually take the new key and lock the car. then you take the key out of the door and hold the unlock button for 15 seconds and then test it out to see if it works. im almost positive this is how its done. make sure you have your window open tho just in case.
Thx
i just finish programing and it works fine , now I ordered a blank blade .
It was simple , like you said , you need 2 keys one in the ignition and one in the door, whit the ignition ON I locked the door and press the OPEN on the remote I just repeated for the CLOSE position .

Can you explain to me how this works?
Do I buy a "KEY [that] HAS A BRAND NEW UNCUT KEY BLADE AND ALSO HAS HAD A BRAND NEW IMMOBLIZER CHIP INSTALLED" on eBay and then... what?
Do I have to take it somewhere to cut the blade and then I'd be able to do the programming?

The key it was cut at Home Depot but you have to take it out of the holder , it has a small retaining pin , you can see the pin when you open the key blade 90º , you can program the remote before you cut the key , it has nothing to do whit the actual key .
