Default Replacing AC Lines

My AC system won't hold a charge and the lines took just terrible. I've found some new lines for cheap. Is it very difficult to remove and replace the AC lines? I haven't been able to find a DIY guide online.

Hopefully it's just your lines and not the evaporator. I don't have my manual in front of me, but if I remember correctly, you'd remove the front bumper, put the car in the service position, and from there it should be pretty straightforward to pull the line from the AC compressor to the condensor. Be careful removing the lines from both the compressor and condensor. If you damage the threads, you'll have to buy those too.

As for the other lines, I'm not too sure.

I wasnt able to get the lines off of my condenser, had to take it somewhere (they heated it with I would guess to be Acetylene). All the other connections Ive removed have been easy.

I called one A/C shop and they told me a common place for a line to seize is at the condenser and they sometimes have to replace the condenser AND the line, dont know if this is true or not.

before you go replacing lines you need to get the refrigerant evacuated out of the system before you go pulling lines apart. that can lead to nasty burns, and it messes up the ozone.
