Default Replacing Engine

I have 1998 Audi A4 Quattro with a V6 2.8L engine and an auto Tiptronic trans but he engine probally has bent valves because the compression is bad, and I have the engine of a 1996 Audi A4 quattro V6 2.8 L Automatic transmission, so my question is If I can use the 1996 Audi Engine on my 1998 Audi ?

In advance Thank you

j/c is the compression bad or not there at all...if you bent your valves there will be no compression. and how do you figure you bent them did your t-belt break. and for the engines swapping the 96 has to be a 12valve.. is your 98 a 12 valve too?
